Alberto is an experienced Professional Structural Engineer having worked for thirty years in the construction industry. He obtained Chartered Professional Status in Italy in July 1992 and has been registered in the Italian NPER since then.
Alberto founded Studio Techné srl in 1997 and was the Managing Director until 2007. He has been a Professional member of IEAUST since 2002 and achieved Chartered Status in Australia in January 2008 and has been registered in the NER since then.
Alberto has strong technical and management skills and extensive experience in leading teams of engineers and drafters. He moved to Australia at the end of January 2007 and worked for Aurecon (formerly Connell Wagner) before moving to FORGE Power. During his time at Aurecon, he was involved in medium size projects such as the Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre Extension, the Perth Domestic Airport interim expansion, the South Hedland MPRC, the ASKAP infrastructure project, Solomon 2 MIA Project and some smaller projects for Rio Tinto. As the Principal of the in-house Civil Structural team of Forge Group Power, he was involved in the design and construction of three power plants in the Pilbara for BHP, Rio Tinto and Horizon Power.
In 2014, Alberto joined McDowall Affleck as a Principal Structural Engineer. During the last eight years at McDowall Affleck he has been involved in major mining, infrastructure and renewable energy projects including several Dampier Salt Operation projects in Porth Hedland and Karratha, the Matagarup Bridge and the Forrestfield Airport Link projects in Perth, the Snowy 2.0 Energy Storage project in NSW, and several renewable energy projects Australia wide.
