Project: Perth Airport – Costco
Location: Perth, WA
Duration: 2.5 Years
Perth Airport secured a leasing agreement for their Airport West site 6 with Costco. This being the first Costco site being developed in Western Australia. McDowall Affleck was engaged to assist the development project by designing all the bulk earthworks, crossovers, drainage, sewer reticulation and water reticulation along with electrical and telecommunication designs with our sub consultants.
McDowall Affleck did the design and documentation of site clearing, earthworks and drainage, sewer and water reticulation, underground power and telecommunications.
The overall design needed to consider Costco requirements for the development, such as designing the finished earthworks to accommodate future car park levels, which reduced the amount of imported fill required and costs.
McDowall Affleck worked closely with Perth Airport throughout the design stage with numerous team and design meetings to ensure all requirements were taken into consideration to suit both Perth Airport and Costco’s end requirements and goals.
McDowall Affleck’s extensive knowledge of Civil Engineering allowed the project to be completed with reduced costs and under budget across various phases that was delivered to a high standard that met the client’s expectations.
