McDowall Affleck were engaged by Built Environs to assist with engineering queries and Airport compliance requirements for the construction of the International Pier and T1 terminal expansion. Our duties included review of engineering drawings to improve build-ability; preparation of construction methodology through liaising with the builder’s project managers and sub-contractors; assessment of existing conditions at the interface of new and existing international terminal and reconciling any structural and services issues previously unknown; preparation of Safe Works Method Statements and liaising within the Airport’s OSH team to resolve any inherent and foreseen safety issues.
