McDowall Affleck were involved in the structural assessment and design of a heritage residence in Northam, WA. The original stone structure was built over 150 years ago. Since then, the residence had expanded to include two additional stone structures and extensive timber living areas, verandahs and living spaces. McDowall Affleck worked with the client, architect and specialist heritage consultants to develop a structural design incorporating the original structures with new, state of the art habitable spaces, utilising the existing where possible to achieve a cost effective and functional design.
