Essential:

• Tertiary Qualified in Civil Engineering from Engineers Australia recognised university
• Project Management extensive experience including
  • Quoting on projects including collating hours;
  • preparing quotes including scope of work;
  • Attending site briefings;
  • Liaising with contractors and clients.
• Application and knowledge of relevant Australian Codes, Standards and Practices
• Completed Safety in Design for design projects
• Design engineering experience for drainage, roads, sewer and water reticulation, earthworks
• Passion for engineering design work – solving complex problems for clients through engineering solutions with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Willing to work in a small team including engineers and designers and build the team
• Highly organised and strong communication skills

Due to work loads and new opportunities we URGENTLY require a client focused individual that can best meet our current and future needs in the Civil team. In the last 12 months, this team has increased sales by +50% on the previous year and we want the RIGHT person to join this dynamic team and push us even further.
This role is a fulltime permanent position and the start date is flexible for the RIGHT person.

Essential:
• Relevant diploma from TAFE (prefer advanced diploma in Civil Design)
• Has completed registered 12D training course and been recently using it for a minimum of 3-5 years fulltime
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as designer in Western Australia in either Land Development or Civil design projects (roads, roundabouts, drainage, sewer, etc.)
• This is a full-time design role so you must love using 12D and AutoCAD software
• Passion for engineering design work – solving complex problems for clients through engineering solutions with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Deliverer, hard worker, accountable, shows a positive “Can do” attitude at all times
• Managing self, including timelines with expected date for deliverables
• Ability to train others on what they know
• Deliver KPI’s for self and the team
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to check own work and that of others
• Self-motivated and can work unsupervised
Desirable:
• Previous experience in developing, maintaining and adhering to Procedures/Libraries/Standardised Details under a QA system
• Application and knowledge of relevant Australian Codes, Standards and Practices, Water Corporation Manual
• Working knowledge of safety management and quality assurance systems
