Stephen became the General Manager of McDowall Affleck in 2006 and started as a Director in 2017. In 2022 he was appointed the Chief Executive Officer. More recently, following the merger with Deacon Engineers to MA Deacon Engineers, his roles also now covers this business.
As a professional manager and with a depth of executive leadership experience, Stephen has the capacity to provide vision and the direction necessary to lead any team, and the ability to develop and execute strategy within a significant service-based business. Stephen has a passion for people, and his track record of achievement has been realised by harnessing human capital to deliver strategic initiatives. His high energy levels, focus and commitment are underpinned by successes in delivering against expectation. In December 2012 and again in 2018 Stephen was humbled by winning the Gary Affleck Employee of the Year award as voted by the staff of McDowall Affleck.
He has successfully passed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course and completed a Master of Business Administration. Stephen has held various volunteer board roles with Kalparrin, Basketball WA, Willetton Basketball Association and Arks Rugby Club. Stephen’s core roles include employee and client engagement, contract negotiations and financial management.
