McDowall Affleck assisted the NRW Contracting site team during the construction stage of the Eliwana Project Bridges. McDowall Affleck was requested to provide design and third party verification of temporary works including lifting beams, void formers, A-truck frame, prefabricated reinforcement lifting and propping, formwork propping and foundations, temporary restraint system for steel decks during installation.

A quick response time was required for this project, but with Covid-19 restrictions meant no site inspections were allowed. We managed to overcome this by having a dedicated engineer and a proactive approach and good communication with the NRW Contracting site team.

McDowall Affleck were able to offer a provision of multiple concept options and flexible design to include materials available on site. We optimised design to meet clients requirements with conservative design assumptions.
